Dom Perignon
The jewel of the prestigious House of Moet & Chandon, Dom Pérignon is their best-known champagne and undoubtedly their finest. All Dom Pérignon champagne is vintage champagne, either Blanc or Rosé. Champagne as we know it today was pioneered by this legendary Benedictine monk who discovered the secret of the double fermentation process, the first fermentation taking place after the harvest and the second artificially induced in spring. The Hautvillers Abbey cellar master spent years perfecting the cuvée, blending wines from different years. He died in 1715 and was buried among his vines, leaving his name to history that is celebrated in millions of festive occasions throughout the world.
