Gosset

The oldest known producer of wine in the Champagne region, its origins going back to 1584. Since 1994 it has been owned by the Cognac house, Frapin. With production at around 50,000 cases a year, Gosset concentrates on the quality of its wines rather than the quantity.

Producing a selective range of cask-fermented Champagnes, normally with a high proportion chardonnay. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided to maintain acidity and ensure a long, long life. House style is rich and biscuity with tremendous depth of fruit and marvellous precision and finesse
