This is the 11th 'Collection' wine produced by Champagne Taittinger
After Victor Vasarely, Arman, Andre Masson, Vieria da Silva, Roy Lichenstein, Hans Hartung, Toshimitsu Oami, Corneille, Matta and Zao Wou-ki, Rauschenberg has agreed to create a new look of art for the Taittinger Collection.
Born in Texas in1925, Robert Rauschenberg is, along with Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, one of the most influential founders of the American Pop Art movement.
After serving in the US navy during the Second World War, Rauschenberg studied fine art at Kansas City Art Institute.
In 1948, he enrolled at the Academie Julian in Paris. He studied the art of collage in Europe and North Africa, before sharing his studio with Jasper Johns in 1955. It was during this period that he began creating his "combines paintings" bringing his work to a more sociological level by demystifying art. Rauschenberg's works are exhibited in the worls's greatest museums.
Taittinger Collection by Rauschenberg contains a precious wine of the 2000 Vintage.
